Hi! I’m glad you’re here.

 

I became an academic because I wanted to study topics that mattered to me and to the world. I became an expert in human rights, democratization, the rule of law, and gender-based violence. While on the tenure track and then after tenure, I worked to share my expertise beyond academia by writing columns and speaking at community events. Within my university, I sought out teaching and service assignments that would let me contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the university. I went looking for assignments that I wanted to say “yes” to, and worked to say “no” to the things that didn’t align with my values. 

 

Now I help women, LGBTQ+ folks, members of the global majority, and others find clarity about their strengths and values and blaze their own paths through their careers. You can also find your “yes” and learn when to use your “no” guided by what matters to you.
